Dear City of White residents, Business owners and Community Organization Leaders,

The City of White Police Department is excited to announce a new opportunity to assist in keeping our community a great place to live, work and play. The growing opioid and overall drug problem in our area has continued to filter into the community, and with drug abuse filtering into the community we now have added a new K-9 unit (Nero) to our department. Nero will be able to assist offices perform open air sniffs of vehicles for narcotics to include Marijuana, methamphetamine, heroin, cocaine and their derivatives. In addition, Nero is able to assist officers track and search for lost individuals, track and apprehend criminals and perform building and area searches.

The City of White Police Department is seeking the public’s help in raising the necessary funds for Nero’s care and upkeep. Some of the items that we are seeking funds to cover will include, food, a tracking harness, emergency vet care, and a Kevlar vest. With these items in mind we ask for your support.
